Road Less Traveled

Throughout my professional journey, I have consistently embraced unconventional paths, refusing to shy away from taking the road less traveled. During my residency, I traveled to Nova Scotia with my mom. As we disembarked the boat and arrived in Digby, everyone else turned left while I turned right. My mom, familiar with my propensity for charting my own course, fondly remarked, 'That's my child—while everyone takes a left, my child takes a right!'
Just as my family and I embark on adventures along the roads less traveled, such as the mesmerizing Lake Natron, each journey presents an exciting experience.
This story serves as a metaphor for my approach to my career. Just as I seek out unique opportunities and forge new paths, I continually strive for excellence in unconventional ways. I thrive in an organization that embraces openness to innovation, particularly in tackling the challenges of delivering holistic patient-centered healthcare. By contributing my distinct perspective and skill set, I aim to make a positive impact within an organization willing to navigate unexplored territory and foster innovative solutions.


The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
